My name is Lilleanna “Lillie” Young and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. Le’Ann Solmonson, Ph.D, LPC-S, CSC, EMDR. I obtained my Masters of Arts in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling & Bachelors in Music at Stephen F. Austin State University.

Mental Health is often an underrated, neglected phenomenon. I believe Mental Health care is a marathon, not a race. It’s a healthy journey tailored to fit each individual’s needs to overcome challenges, build happiness, & develop balance towards our overall self-actualization. Knowing and doing are different. I believe we all possess the ability to know what we need but the difficulties lie within doing what we know we need. During sessions we’ll work to identify needs & fulfill those needs. Because each person & our experiences are different I operate from a Holistic Eclectic therapeutic approach; Utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, & Person-Centered techniques to consider all aspects of the whole person

I have experience working with a wide range of mental health individuals via MHMR & currently UTMB with TDCJ. I’ve worked with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, ADHD, grief, LGBTQ community, relationship/marital issues, substance abuse, suicidal ideations, trauma, & various mental health diagnosis. I am diverse working with various ages ranging from early childhood to late adulthood, various cultures & communities. Helping is my passion & what I truly believe God has placed as my calling. Others describe me as being genuine, open, respectful & direct. Through this journey together we can seek what lies within, which is happiness!
