One word that describes my personality: Charismatic

“Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion.”

                                                                                                                             - Bell Hooks

I believe change happens through relationships. The relationship we have with ourself, as well as with others, is one of the most important factors of the human experience and deeply shapes our development. We learn through our interactions with others and sometimes those interactions can lead to distress while other times it can be a catalyst for growth and healing.

My name is Chris Norris. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Jennifer Anderson, LPC-S. I received my Bachelor's degree in Family and Child Development from Texas StateUniversity and my Master's of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lamar University. I am passionate about working with males and families of at-risk youth. I have experience working with clients who are struggling with interpersonal conflicts, anxiety, depression, disruptive behaviors and self-esteem. My goal is to take a collaborative, strengths-based approach to help support you as you identify the impact of relationships on your life and work towards the change you desire. I look forward to walking with you on this journey.
