"The work always starts where you're actually at, not where you want to be."
It is not always easy to check in with ourselves. And when we do, the most common question is, “is this a safe space?” As your therapist, I take pride in cultivating safe spaces to process whatever comes up for you. I enjoy working with black women struggling with stress management, anxiety, mindfulness, self-esteem challenges because these are areas that require intentionality, and as minor as they may seem, can have a major impact on how we navigate the world.
Healing is a collaborative endeavor that requires honest caring without judgment, and I cooperatively assist my clients in clarifying their goals. Rather than adopting one methodology for all individuals and issues, I draw from various methods to create a tailored approach for each individual and situation. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am warm, open, encouraging, and direct. This experience may seem like a marathon at the start, but I look forward to joining you on your wellness journey.
