Relax, relate, release! - great words given to Ms. Whitley Gilbert from the tv show, A Different World, while she was dealing with certain conflicts in her life. Welcome to therapy, I'm glad you are here. I invite you to think about how we can intentionally apply the words of Ms. Whitley Gilbert to our own lives.

 

I’m Alexis Hatch, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I’m originally from Chicago, IL, midwest baby! I received my Masters in Counseling in Dallas at Southern Methodist University. My therapeutic treatment modalities include: person-centered, Gestalt, Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and play therapy. I specialize in trauma informed approaches to provide skills to help one cope with triggers from trauma. This includes trauma informed yoga and mindfulness, and Trust Based Relational Intervention when assisting children. I am also an ADHD - Certified Clinical Service Provider and am passionate about working with children + young adults with managing their symptoms. Overall, I focus on increasing awareness of your mind and body, and their connection through a holistic lens to encourage healing.

 

I primarily work with children, adolescents, & emerging young adults from ages 6 years old to 28 years old who struggle with ODD, ADD/ADHD, behavioral issues, socializing in school, navigating family structural changes (ie divorce), transitioning into adulthood, self-discovery, preparing for college, comparing self on social media, struggling to regulate emotions/thoughts, coping with triggers with trauma, anxiety and depression.
