Devyn Walker is a licensed professional counselor (LPC), certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC), and registered yoga teacher (RYT) that is currently based in Dallas, Texas. In 2014 she graduated from Arkansas State University with her BS in Psychology and a minor in Sociology, as well as obtained her credentials to become a registered yoga teacher. Following that she obtained her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2016.
Devyn began her journey into yoga and counseling after emancipating from a dark place following her father’s suicide. After bearing the burden of being the person to discover her father, this led her through the journey of being diagnosed with major depression disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. After leaning in and having conversations with God, Devyn decided to take up becoming a yoga teacher and counselor to help others (and herself) climb out of dark places and maintain a self-preservation routine.
Devyn is also the Founder and genius behind Self Care Gang, a wellness podcast, and Sent From Devyn, her personal blog. She uses these platforms to help others, particularly Black people, learn about the importance of wellness and self-care.
Devyn is currently accepting new clients and speaking opportunities. Please visit the “contact/booking” page for more information.
